Logistics and Implementation

Student Life's Logistics and Implementation Team helps ensure that events and construction projects run smoothly and efficiently.

Logistics and Implementation leads the planning and execution of major Student Life events; supports logistics planning for major Student Life construction projects; leads Residence hall Move-in, Move-out and the summer turn process; manages signage throughout Student Life facilities with the Student Life Sign Shop and manages warehouse and moving operations. Strategic communications and logistical planning improve experiences for Student Life staff, students, and their families.

Planning for Move-in and Move-out requires a comprehensive approach to determine the most efficient process for approximately 14,000 students to arrive or depart campus throughout a one-week period. This requires the coordination of thousands of volunteers, staff, traffic control, signage, and student communication.

The residence hall summer turn process requires coordination with all trades working in the building to ensure its readiness for student’s arrival in August. It also includes engineering a schedule with other university events like orientation, summer conference housing, summer school and major Student Life projects.
